Lord Skellington

Would you believe it took exactly a year since this was commissioned? I had a roller coaster ride on my personal life from the latter part of 2011 to early 2012 that caused delays to my projects. I'm super glad that everything is getting back to it's natural phase.

This set is inspired by Jack Skellington of Nightmare Before Christmas which I designed exclusively for my friend and ever loyal client, Amadeobeloved. It is part of our plans to have special shoots in tribute of Tim Burton's best works and I hope having to have to finish this, finally, would mark the marathon of our photography bucket list.

I cropped the pants since it looked weird in the dress form. The blazer is made out of high quality cotton with pinstripe print. It is a double breasted top with an altered capelet x tailored collar.

It has a bow tie with spiky ends just like Jack's and is attached to a cravat. Tie is made with an interlining to make it stiff so that the shape would be recognizable.

Accented with this mock closure. Buttons have a beautiful rose detail.

The headpiece is an experimental design because I grew tired of the usual tophats for the kodona style. I'm loving the outcome though and will make more for my future designs.

I will be rolling the 4th year anniversary win-a-dress contest for Dorotee Sweetlips tomorrow here in my blog. I decided to do it here since Facebook became too cluttered for me when it comes to giveaways. >.< Watch out for it!

Alice and her peach locks

The last few weeks have been tough for me and my siblings. I have been working hard to at least provide for our basic needs. Earning money could have been easier if my body doesn't shut down when it's most needed. Sometimes, I wonder.. How other people do it? When will come a time when we can be financially free and enjoy the rest of our lives?

I've skipped classes for two weeks now because I had to be here at home so I can work. Also, I would most of the time sacrifice my daily allowance so my siblings can go to school. It never crossed my mind to be this kind of a person because I used to prioritize my fashion education over everything else. Good thing, fashion can wait. :)

Shot these today to break free from the stress of life. Perhaps this is my gateway to put my feelings into photographs..

Camillia Classic

Commissioned work for my client, Ms.Cams. :)

It's my first time to make an under-bust vest so I really had fun making this commission.  Midnight fabric is a nice quality Swiss cotton and the blouse is made of quality suiting material.

Vest is adorned with weave handmade faux roses with plastic beads as accent.

Headpiece is a bow and a faux rose connected with plastic beads adorned with beads and charms. Base of the headband is dressed with a pretty venise lace with a rose designs.

Passion Revealed: The Marionettes feat. Dorotee Sweetlips' fashion show

First and foremost, super thanks to GK Productions for inviting me as their guest designer for Passion Revealed. It was an awesome experience and I had a good time with the organizers and the models who took part of the show.

We weren't able to take a lot of kick-ass photos though but I love how memory-filled every photo is.

Ten of my works was shown that day, sadly though I only have photos of the ones posted in this blog. /fail

A lot of thanks and love to my awesome behind-the-scenes crew. Thanks guys!

Group shot! Mariel (the one wearing the black x white ensemble from above ^) is missing here though. :( Still fun nevertheless!

I'm open for more collaborations. Please send them at jcaabad@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Violette Symphony

Ola!

*blows dust*

This blog is so much fail. I just can't seem to find the enthusiasm to update it often. >.< Anyway, here's one of my latest works. Putting it up here since it's gonna be up for grabs in Dorotee Sweetlips' page.

Quick post since I'm already starving at this point and I need to rush to buy some supplies.

It comes with a choker, headdress, and a cuff.

Sales post will be posted at Dorotee Sweetlips' page. See you there!
